  • Dr. Anuradha Das

    Dr. Das is in the field of education for the last 35 years. She did her schooling from Modern High School for Girls, Kolkata; Higher Secondary in 1973. Did B.Sc, M.Sc & Ph.D in High Energy Nuclear Physics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Did her Post Doctorate work with foreign collaborations like CERN (Geneva) and FERMILAB (USA). She has attended several International Conferences all over Europe and the US and was one of the delegates to attend the UK Counsellors Meet in 2002 in England. She was also one of the two delegates from India, nominated by the Department of State, Washington DC, USA, to attend the International Leadership Programme in 2006 in the US. She has visited several Schools and Universities in the USA, the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and India. 

    She taught Physics in the Senior Section in Modern High School from 1980 to 1985 and was Higher Secondary Examiner during this period. She joined Calcutta International School in 1986, was part of the team to introduce A Levels (London) for the first time in Eastern India in 1988. Under her leadership Calcutta International School (CIS) received the International School Award from the Ministry of Higher Education, UK, in 2006, 2009 and 2013. She was Head of the Mathematics Department and Senior School (Edexcel & CIE) and took over as Head of Calcutta International School in 2002. She was the first recipient of the ‘Alumni Award’ from Modern High School in January 2008. She took over as the Principal of Calcutta International School till August 2009 and later as Director of Calcutta International School from 2009 to 2013

    She has been serving as the Chief Academic Advisor of Satikanta Guha Foundation from May 2013 and as the Director of Garden High International School (IGCSE & A Levels) (from April 2014).

  • Mrs. Nandini Mukherjee

    An alumna of Loreto House, Kolkata, Nandini Mukherjee graduated with (English Honours) from Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata, after which she completed her Masters and M. Phil in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Her career in teaching began in 1982 as English Language faculty at the School of Languges, The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata . She joined Calcutta International School as Senior English teacher in 1994 and served as Head of English since 2003, looking after all sections of the department from K-A2, including Drama and ESL. She was the Senior Principal of the school as well as the acting Head of English and Humanities from 2012 to 2013. At  present, she is the Dean of Student Affairs at Garden High International School.  She has also been Guest Faculty and Coordinator of the Department of Communicative English, St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, since 2009 and External Faculty of Gen Ed English course at Presidency University since 2015.

    Her training in English Language Teaching (ELT) and in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Hamline University, Minnesota, USA in 2006, has facilitated her work. Ms. Mukherjee has been actively involved with the delivery of IGCSE, A Level and IB programmes. She has been associated with the American Center on various alumni projects. Her special academic interests include curriculum design and content development. She has worked with leading publishing houses such as Macmillan and OUP, in the field of ELT as well as with the academic and corporate sector.

  • Mr. Ashok Mukherjee

    Mr. Ashok Mukherjee retired from Tata Consultancy Services as Vice President in 2014. During his 30 years service in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS),  he has handled high level responsibilities which included long term assignments abroad. He has spent considerable time in handling TCS HR operations in USA. He has also handled Ethics and Compliance as concurrent roles.

    He was educated in St.Xavier’s School, St.Xavier’s College ,IISWBM and has attended Executive Development Programme in Harvard Business School USA,  IIM Bangalore, Tata Management Training Centre Pune.

    Mr. Mukherjee has taught in leading management schools like Jamnalal Bajaj Institute Mumbai, Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar and Army Institute of Management Kolkata.

  • Mr. S V Raman

    A civil engineer by education, Mr S V Raman, popularly known as Raju Raman, is the former Programme Director of the Goethe-Institute / Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata. A keen debater since his schooldays he is regularly invited to chair and judge debates. Mr. Raman also dons the mantle of quizmaster and anchorperson for talk shows, panel discussions and other events. 

    He has served as the all-India General Secretary of the Federation of Film Societies of India from 1988-92 with the legendary Satyajit Ray as its President. Presently he is a Programme Consultant to the Victoria Memorial Hall and a guest lecturer for German/Communication/Public Speaking/Personality Development/Film at various institutions and universities. A freelance translator and interpreter, he also regularly contributes as a free-lance journalist to newspapers and periodicals in India and abroad.

  • Mrs. Durbha Alivelu

    Mrs. Durbha Alivelu has been teaching German language at Max Mueller bhavan and The Heritage school since 2009. She has lived in Germany for 8 years and learnt the language there and did teachers training from Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata . She  has also started teaching at IIM Calcutta from 2015. She is presently teaching ICSE , IGCSE and IB boards at the Heritage School. She also conduct examinations for Max Mueller Bhavan in and outside Kolkata.
